Chirpy Chick woke up, in a nest so soft,
Feathered and cozy, high in the loft.
The sun was a circle, a bright yellow ball,
Chirpy hopped out, ready to explore all.
Red was the first color Chirpy Chick found,
Apples in the orchard, on the ground.
He pecked at one, oh, what a delight,
Crisp and juicy, it was just right.
Next, he found orange, in a butterfly’s wing,
Flitting and fluttering, making his heart sing.
The butterfly danced, a waltz in the air,
And Chirpy Chick clapped, in joyous flair.
Then he saw blue, in the clear sky,
Where the birds flew high, oh my, oh my!
Chirpy flapped his wings, wishing to soar,
Someday he would, of that, he was sure.
Green was the grass, under his feet,
Soft and cool, a perfect treat.
He hopped about, so free, so light,
In the grassy meadow, bathed in sunlight.
Purple was in flowers, sweet and fragrant,
Their beauty making Chirpy exuberant.
He sniffed their scent, oh, so fine,
In the lovely garden, under the pine.
The day was ending, the sun set low,
Casting a beautiful pink glow.
Chirpy Chick yawned, feeling quite sleepy,
His day had been so wonderfully cheery.
Back to his nest, cozy and warm,
Under the stars, safe from harm.
His colorful day had come to an end,
In his dreams, the colors would blend.
So, little listener, as you close your eyes,
Think of Chirpy’s colorful skies.
Red, orange, blue, green, and pink,
Into dreamland, they’ll make you sink.
Each day is a canvas, so bright, so grand,
A world of colors, in your little hand.
Just like Chirpy, you’ll explore, you’ll play,
And that’s how you’ll paint your wonderful day!
The end.
