In a sunny garden, there lived a tiny caterpillar named Cleo. Cleo loved to eat, especially crispy, green salad leaves.
One day, Cleo found a huge lettuce patch. Her eyes grew wide with excitement. “Yum!” she said, and started munching.
Cleo ate one leaf, then another, and another. She couldn’t stop! The leaves were just too tasty.
Soon, Cleo’s tummy grew rounder and rounder. She felt so full, she could barely move.
“Oh no,” Cleo groaned. “I ate too much!”
Cleo’s friend, a wise old snail named Slowy, came by. “What’s wrong, Cleo?” he asked.
“I ate too many leaves,” Cleo said. “Now I can’t move!”
Slowy smiled kindly. “Don’t worry. Rest a while, then take a nice long walk. You’ll feel better soon.”
Cleo followed Slowy’s advice. As she rested, she thought about how sometimes too much of a good thing isn’t so good after all.
The next day, Cleo felt much better. From then on, she always remembered to eat just enough, leaving room for a nice walk in the garden afterward.
The end.
