Marvin the Midnight Muncher

In the cozy little town of Cheesewhisker Hollow, where the air always smelled like warm biscuits and butter, lived a tiny mouse named Marvin.

Marvin was famous for two things:

  1. Being the smallest mouse in town.
  2. Having the biggest appetite.

There was just one small problem—Marvin was a midnight muncher.

Every night, when the world was fast asleep, Marvin would tiptoe into the kitchen, climb up the shelves, and nibble on anything he could find. A crumb here, a cookie crumb there, and—if he was lucky—a nice big hunk of cheese!

One night, as he snuck into the pantry, Marvin’s eyes sparkled. “JACKPOT!” he whispered. Right in front of him sat the biggest, most golden piece of cheese he had ever seen.

He rubbed his tiny paws together. “Come to Papa.”

But as soon as he took a bite—SNAP!

The floor beneath him disappeared, and Marvin found himself trapped inside a clear plastic box!

“Oh, cheddar biscuits…” he gulped.

He pressed his tiny paws against the walls—solid. He tried pushing the top—locked tight. He even attempted his famous cheese ninja backflip—but just ended up landing on his tail.

Marvin groaned. “This is it. This is how I go. Surrounded by cheese but unable to eat it. The cruelty!”

Just then, he noticed a tiny gap where the lid wasn’t completely sealed. It was small—really small. But Marvin was the tiniest mouse in town.

Taking a deep breath, he flattened himself like a pancake (a very fluffy pancake), wiggled, squeezed, and… POP!

He was free!

Marvin scampered away just as the kitchen light flicked on.

The next morning, the town mice gathered around. “Marvin! You got caught stealing again?”

“It wasn’t stealing!” Marvin protested. “It was borrowing… with no plan to return it.”

His grandmother, Granny Gouda, shook her head. “Marvin, dear, you need to learn some self-control.

Marvin sighed. He had been eating a lot lately… Maybe he needed to change.

So, with great determination, Marvin made a Big Decision.

That night, he tiptoed into the kitchen again—but this time, instead of stealing food, he left a tiny note.

It said:
“Dear Kitchen Owner, I am a very hungry mouse, but I am trying to be better. If you have any extra cheese, could you leave some out for me? I will not steal. Thank you. Love, Marvin.”

The next morning, Marvin woke up to find something incredible—a tiny plate of cheese waiting just for him!

From that day on, Marvin never stole food again. Instead, he became the official taste-tester of Cheesewhisker Hollow. And the best part? He got his cheese without falling into any more traps.

The Lesson?
Being sneaky might seem like a good idea, but honesty and patience are always better. Plus, you never know—sometimes, if you just ask nicely, you might get exactly what you wanted all along!

The End
