Benny Bunny was a bouncing bunny.
He had big, beautiful ears, a button nose, and a little brown belly.
Every morning, Benny bounced. Bounce, bounce, bounce!

One bright, breezy morning, Benny found something beside a blueberry bush.
A balloon! A BIG, BLUE, BEAUTIFUL BALLOON!
“B-b-b-BALLOON!” Benny babbled. He blew it a big kiss.

But suddenly… BOING!
The balloon bounced away!
“Oh, bananas!” Benny cried.
Benny bounced behind it. Bounce, bounce, bounce!

First, he bumped into Bella Bear.
“Benny! Why the big bouncing?” Bella asked.
“My big blue balloon!” Benny blurted.
Bella blinked. “Bother! Better bring it back!”
So Benny Bunny and Bella Bear bounced together. Bounce, bounce, bounce!

Next, they bumped into Betty Bee.
“Bzzzz! Bzzzz! What’s the big buzz?” Betty buzzed.
“My balloon!” Benny bawled.
Betty buzzed above the bushes. “Bzzzz! I see it! Behind the big barn!”
They hurried behind the barn.

But… BUMP! BUMP! BOOM!
A bunch of bananas came tumbling down!
“BANANAS!” Bella bellowed.
Benny blinked. Betty buzzed. And everybody burst into giggles. “Ha-ha-ha!”

Then Benny spotted something blue.
Behind a basket. Beside a broom. Beneath a butterfly.
“My balloon!” Benny beamed.

He hugged his balloon.
Bella hugged Benny.
Betty buzzed a beautiful little song.

But the bright sky was becoming dark. The breeze became a whisper.
Benny gave a big, big yawn.
“Bedtime,” Bella whispered.
“Bzzzz… bedtime,” Betty buzzed.

Benny brought his balloon back to his burrow.
He brushed his little bunny teeth.

He buried himself beneath his blanket.
And beside his bed, his big blue balloon bobbed gently. Bob… bob… bob…
“Bye-bye, balloon,” Benny breathed. “Bye-bye, Bella. Bye-bye, Betty.”

His big bunny eyes blinked. Once. Twice. And then…
Benny Bunny was beautifully, blissfully asleep.
The End.
